13th Article of Faith - Bragging

Okay - So since I was called to serve in Young Women's I have stretched and sometimes flexed my creative muscles.  This year's theme is the 13th Article of Faith, I finally found an extra few minutes to finish this and I know I might be bragging but I Love This!

I'm going to print it out on cardstock and get it laminated for each of my girls so they can keep it in their scriptures or where ever.

What do you think?

Lets Go Fly a Kite

There was a ward "Kite Flying" activity on Saturday.  It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Both the kids had a blast flying their $.99 kites.  Here's James…he was very serious about kite flying...

At first Piper was equally as excited about the Cheetos and the Kite...
but the Kite quickly won out...
Kite flying followed by some sibling kindness - a great day and one I'm sure we'll repeat often.

The Little Cousin Arrives

James & Piper have a new "Cousin".  It is their first younger cousin and they were Very Excited to meet him and even more excited that they were allowed to meet him in the Hospital
James absolutely adores him.  He was so proud to hold him - he's hooked for life.
Piper did very well with him.  Touching him very softly as James held him
Piper even got her turn to hold him.
The little cousin's stats: Justin Patrick Lemmon

Reading with Relatives

James' class had "reading with relatives" this morning.  We brought donuts and drinks and enjoyed reading some stories with the kiddos.  It was especially cute to watch James read Piper one of her favorite books - Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
It wasn't easy to do while eating but Piper was appreciative.
I love my kids and love it especially when they love each other.

Pretend City

Pretend City is officially one of Piper's favorite outings.  We went with her friend Hailey and spent most of our visit in the "farm".

She loves  the little chicks…
 and picking Fruits & Veggies

and when she wasn't in the "farm" she was on stage

I'm sure this will be just one of many many visits to come.

Mommy/Son Date

James and Mommy went on a Mommy/Son Date on Saturday.  We went to Edison High School's production of Guys & Dolls at HBHS.
James liked the play.  He had a certain character that he loved

Everytime she was on stage his eyes were glued to her.  She was "Sarah" the Save a Soul Mission Leader.
This was his favorite Scene, he asked me to take a picture...
I loved watching him applaud enthusiastically after each of her songs.

After the play he waited outside the dressing room and asked her to sign his program and take a picture with him.  He likes to look at this picture, he says "Mom, isn't she cute?"
Then we had dinner at Ikea - James' choice.
and rounded out the evening with a trip to Berry Sweet, his favorite frozen yogurt shop.

We had a great evening together.  I was happy to have some quality one on one time with my little man. My favorite was that from when we got out of the play to when we got home he called me Doll : )
